Target is cool.

This redesigned prescription bottle was done by Deborah Adler and Klaus Rosburg for Target. At an information session at SVA on Saturday, the chairs of the Design MFA program presented this as it was done by an alumni of the program. Deborah Adler got her MFA at SVA and this was her thesis. Upon graduating she took her idea to Target and they paid her for it. The original bottle was a bit different but her labeling system remains the same along with the color coding system.

After listening to what current designers are doing, I discovered that most good ideas are routed in some personal and emotional connection. Deborah's grandmother took the wrong pills. This lead her to invent a better solution to a common problem. She's lucky that a company thought it was a good idea too.
